All our work supports the delivery of the National Performance Framework and is focused on delivering the National Outcomes.

Our work has a particular emphasis on creating opportunities for everyone living in Scotland, improving their wellbeing, reducing inequalities, and achieving social progress.

The national outcomes are:

  1. Grow up loved, safe and respected so that they realise their full potential

  2. Live in communities that are inclusive, empowered, resilient and safe

  3. Are well-educated, skilled and able to contribute to society

  4. Are healthy and active

  5. Respect, protect and fulfil human rights and live free from discrimination

  6. Tackle poverty by sharing opportunities, wealth and power more equally
