Datastore

Our Datastore is an online statistics resource for professionals who need information about care services in Scotland. You can use it to find things like how many care homes for older people there are in a specific area, or how many complaints were upheld over the past year.

It includes details about the types of care services operating in Scotland and the quality of those services. All services that are active at the time of the update are included. Any services that have cancelled since the last update are removed, and newly registered services are added every month.

You can download the Datastore in two formats. The Excel (XLSX) version includes ready‑made pivot tables to help you analyse the data more easily. The CSV version contains just the raw data. Both files are updated monthly. The Excel file also includes a tab with definitions and notes explaining each data field, which we recommend using alongside the data.

Unless otherwise stated, all content is available under the Open Government Licence.
