How to find an inspection report

Members of the public can use our website to look up inspection reports for registered care services.

  1. Go to the our care service register
The page shows a list of care services that are registered and inspected.

  2. Search or browse for a service
You can find a service by:

    • entering its name, location or service type

    • browsing through the list of services shown on the page.

  3. Open a service record
Click on the name of the care service or ‘view service’ to view its details.

What our inspection reports mean

Inspection reports explain how well a care service is performing and whether it is meeting required standards of care.

What our inspections look at

Inspections assess important areas such as:

  • the quality of care and support people receive

  • how well staff meet people’s needs, rights and choices

  • staff skills and staffing levels

  • how safe and well‑managed the service is

Inspectors gather information by observing care, reviewing records, and speaking with people who use services, staff, and managers.

Inspection findings and evaluations

Inspection reports:

  • describe what is working well

  • identify areas that need improvement

  • may highlight actions the service must take to improve care

Where evaluations are used, these help show how well a service is performing in different areas, from very good practice to areas requiring improvement or urgent action.

Why inspection reports are useful

Inspection reports help:

  • people and families make informed choices about care services

  • services understand what they are doing well and what needs to improve

  • ensure services are safe, effective and respectful

They provide an open and transparent view of care quality so the public can have confidence in the services they use.
