Join us an inspection volunteer

Volunteers are not just involved in care service inspections. Our volunteers are often asked to help shape the work of the Care Inspectorate. Recently, volunteers have been asked meet to give their insights and views on various projects including:

• our complaints procedure  

• our revised resource, Care Homes for adults; the design guide 

• our new corporate plan

• our safe staffing project 

• our replacement website.

 Some of our volunteers also take part in: 

• interviews for new staff members 

• training for new staff 

• contributing to our professional development award: This is a qualification for inspectors who work for the Care Inspectorate

• strategic inspections: These inspections look at how well health and social care partnerships, and their partner organisations are working together to support children, adults, older people, and people involved in the justice system.  

 We’ll work closely with you and support you to do all of this.
