Participation

The Participation and Equalities team is a mixed team of specialists. We make sure that quality improvement, coproduction, equality and fairness are built into everything we do. We also run our inspection volunteer scheme.

Our goal is to build confidence, strengthen good practice, and promote ways of working that ensure everyone using care services is treated with dignity, fairness and respect.

Promoting equality and protecting people’s human rights is central to delivering care that is compassionate, safe, accessible and inclusive. These values guide how we regulate services, how we support improvement, and how we work with people who experience care, along with their families and care providers.

Together, we can help create services where people feel safe, included, listened to and empowered to make decisions about their care and their lives.
