Digital social care focus group session

Last updated 14 April 2026

A cropped, waist-up shot shows a woman with dark wavy hair pointing to information on a black tablet she's holding. A senior adult with fluffy white hair sits nearby, partially visible. The woman wears a light green button-down shirt and a lanyard. There are sheets of paper visible on her lap. In the soft focus background is a light brown shelving unit with a few decorations on it.

Event information

We are welcoming colleagues to join a follow‑up focus group from our surveillance and monitoring technologies survey and looking for a mix of voices and experiences in the room.

This will be a relaxed, discussion‑based session. We will start with a short overview of our recent survey's findings to set the scene, but the focus of the hour is really about hearing your thoughts, experiences and reflections.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance. Just come along ready to chat and share your perspective. We are interested in understanding:

  • how surveillance and monitoring technologies show up in your area of work

  • any challenges or uncertainties you’ve come across

  • how these technologies affect people’s privacy, dignity, or daily experience

  • what considerations you feel should be reflected in future guidance.

This focus group supports work on developing updated guidance for providers and people using services and families.

We would especially like to hear from colleagues across all specialties and teams, so everyone’s insight is represented.

If you would like any more information please get in touch with our Improvement team or sign up to register using the button below.

We kindly ask that you do not join the meeting using any AI bots or virtual assistants, as they will be removed to protect the privacy of all participants.
