Joint inspection of adult services integration and outcomes: quality improvement framework
The Care Inspectorate and Healthcare Improvement Scotland share a common aim that the people of Scotland should experience the best quality health and social care. We work together to deliver programmes of scrutiny and assurance activity that look at the quality of integrated health and social care services and how well those services are delivered.
We provide assurance that gives people confidence in services and where we find that improvement is needed, we support services to make positive changes. This jointly produced quality improvement framework is designed to support health and social care partnerships (HSCPs) to improve integrated health and social care services for adults. It is focused on people’s outcomes and experiences and how the HSCP is working to deliver seamless services that achieve good outcomes.
The framework applies to all the services for adults that have been delegated to HSCPs and is used by the Care Inspectorate and Healthcare Improvement Scotland to undertake joint inspection of adult services.
