Consultations

National consultations and calls for evidence are an opportunity to put forward our expertise and insight to help inform and refine policy developments. We respond to consultations that relate to our remit and have an impact on people experiencing care and the services supporting them.

Our Corporate Plan for 2026 – 2031 includes a strategic outcome to Involve and Inform, with plans to prioritise:

• using and sharing the data and information we gather from the sector to inform the understanding of care as well as our work

• working with our partners and other bodies to ensure that social care and social work have a voice and can shape policy that affects them

• promoting an understanding of what those experiencing care and their communities have a right to expect

• strengthening how we collaborate – internally and externally – to learn from and support the sector with expertise, information and guidance.

Our responses are based on evidence and professional experience and knowledge, and do not represent any one individual’s opinion.
