Food Standards Scotland (FSS) has been made aware by The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) that Brazilian chicken products imported by Foodbridge EU and Foodbridge UK Ltd tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes may be a risk for patients in high-risk care settings or those who are immunocompromised.

Although the products are supplied frozen, they are labelled as ready-to-eat (RTE), once defrosted, increasing the potential public health concern, particularly for vulnerable groups.

The withdrawal undertaken is for all batches and expiry dates of the following products.
